If you have not had the pleasure of participating in a barre workout, do not pass go! As a fitness enthusiast who has tried just about every workout there is, I can vouch that no workout has made me look so long and lean, as a barre workout!
The tiny movements and high repitition used in barre workouts knit your muscles to your bone structure tightly, making you look smaller, and increasing your muscle mass, in very little time.
I read recently that women who lift 3 pound weights will never acheive the muscle structure they are striving for. I would have agreed, before trying a barre workout, but this advice couldn’t be more wrong. Try holding those 3 lb. weight at shoulder level, and lifting your arms up and down, just one inch, 20 or 30 times, and you will beg to differ.
